Camille Villar hails barangay leaders as pillars of nation-building
House Deputy Speaker Camille Villar emphasized the crucial role of barangay officials in national development during her recent engagement with local leaders in General Trias, Cavite.
Speaking before the Liga ng mga Barangay on Monday, February 24, 2025, Villar acknowledged the dedication of barangay officials in addressing the day-to-day needs of their communities, ensuring the successful implementation of government programs at the grassroots level.

“You are the real nation-builders!
As a two-term representative of Las Piñas, Villar stressed the importance of barangay officials in local governance, public safety, and community development. She noted that their leadership is essential in ensuring that government services and projects reach every corner of the country, spanning over 42,000 barangays.

Villar, who is running for a Senate seat in the May 2025 elections, highlighted the hard work and perseverance of barangay officials in implementing livelihood programs, healthcare services, and educational initiatives. She said their efforts inspire her to continue working harder for the Filipino people.
Villar reaffirmed her commitment to championing policies that uplift local communities, promising that, if elected to the Senate, she would continue advocating for programs that empower barangays and improve the lives of millions of Filipinos.
