Independent senatorial candidate Bam Aquino took a break from the campaign trail to give youth and online influencers a guided tour of the just-reopened Aquino Center and Museum in Tarlac City on Tuesday, Feb. 25, the 39th anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution that ended the Marcos dictatorship.

Aquino, the nephew of former senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr. and a cousin of the late former president Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III on the Aquino side, led a guided tour of the Aquino Center to showcase the rich history that ties Ninoy and Cory to the country’s regaining of democracy.
“Ngayong araw pong ito, sinama namin ang iba't ibang mga vloggers at influencers dito po sa bagong pagbukas ng Aquino Museum. Ngayon po, hindi lang tungkol ito kay Tito Ninoy, kasama na rin yung parts ni Tita Cory at ni PNoy (This day, we went with different vloggers and influencers here at the reopening of the Aquino Museum. Now, this is not just about Tito Ninoy, but it also includes the parts of Tita Cory and PNoy),” he said.
He took the chance to invite the public to visit the museum, which reopened after a two-year renovation on the eve of the 39th anniversary of the EDSA People Power, to see the exhibits themselves.
“Ngayon pong February 25, 2025, 39 years pagkatapos ng People Power Revolution, mahalaga po na maalala natin iyong mga panahong iyon, na hindi mabura o mawala ang mga pangyayaring iyon sa ating kasaysayan at maalala ng taumbayan na kapag tayo po ay tumatayo, tumitindig, nagkakaboses, nagkakatapang at nagkakaisa, lahat ng humahadlang ay talagang malalampasan ng isang taumbayang nagkakaisa (This February 25, 2025, 39 years after the People Power Revolution, it’s important to remember those times that cannot be erased from our history and remember that when we stand together, use our voices, gather our courage and unite, we can surpass all the challenges),” Aquino said.
The museum tour was part of the senatorial candidate’s aspiration to teach the younger generation about the roles of Ninoy and Cory in the country’s freedom and democracy.
He took it upon himself to make sure that the so-called “TikTok generation” is aware of the sacrifices that Ninoy and Cory did for the country.
Aquino is betting on the younger generation to pass on the lessons of EDSA to the next generation through their online platforms.
Meanwhile, the former senator’s campaign volunteers are also hard at work across the country as they conducted various activities even during the weekend.

Members of Kaya Natin Youth, Robredo People’s Councils, and other volunteer groups conducted Palengke Runs, silkscreen T-shirt printing, Trompa Runs, postering, leafleting, and other activities in Nueva Ecija, Quezon, Olongapo City, Negros Oriental, and Laguna.
Similar initiatives were also held in the cities of Pasay, Valenzuela, Pasig, and Caloocan in the National Capital Region (NCR).
Residents in Isabela, Davao del Sur, General Santos City, and Davao City were seen warmly welcoming Aquino’s volunteers and supporters, underscoring the importance of the issues—education and jobs—that he advocates for.
“Hindi lang sa Metro Manila problema ang edukasyon at trabaho kundi pati rito sa aming lugar. Mahalaga rin sa amin na makatapos sa kolehiyo ang aming mga anak at magkaroon ng magandang trabaho (Education and jobs are not only problems in Metro Manila, but also here in our locality. It is also important for us for our children to finish college and have good jobs),” Manny Paronda of Davao City said.
“Nagpapasalamat kami kay Senador Bam sa kanyang pagsusulong sa mga isyung ito. Makakaasa siya ng suporta mula sa amin (We thank Senator Bam for pushing for these issues. He can be assured of our support),” he added.
In Muntinlupa City, volunteers of Aquino and senatorial candidate Kiko Pangilinan did house-to-house campaign last weekend.
The two are once more reaching out to their volunteers, reminiscent to the 2022 presidential campaign of former vice president Leni Robredo, whose People’s Campaign run purely on volunteerism.
