Man stabs grandmother to death in Bacolod

BACOLOD CITY – A 19-year-old man allegedly stabbed his 66-year-old grandmother to death in their house in Barangay Pahanocoy here on Sunday, Feb. 23.

Four injured in knife attack at German university

Police Capt. Greeky Cayao, head of Police Station 8, said the suspect witnessed an altercation between his mother and grandmother.

The suspect got a kitchen knife and stabbed his grandmother. The victim sustained multiple stab wounds and was declared dead in a hospital.

Cayao said the suspect was arrested by barangay watchmen and  turned over to the police. The murder weapon was recovered.

The suspect’s family said it was the first time that he went violent. He had been staying at his grandmother’s house since October last year.

Cayao said the suspect faces a parricide case.
