2GO launches SCVASI customs brokerage to streamline trade for businesses

2GO Special Containers and Value-Added Services Inc. (SCVASI), a subsidiary of transportation and logistics firm 2GO Group Inc., has launched a standalone custom brokerage service aimed at enhancing logistics efficiency and reliability.

In a statement on Monday, Feb. 24, 2GO SCVASI described the new service as a one-stop logistics solution provider that complements the company’s expertise in handling a diverse range of logistics needs.

“SCVASI saw the opportunity to make this service standalone. We have been providing it, but consolidating products with different requirements adds more value,” said 2GO SCVASI President Gener Lim.

Lim said the new offering will prove beneficial with its cost-effectiveness and timely delivery for clients, regardless of freight requirements.

The service is envisioned as a “seamless gateway” for international markets to access local customers that utilize 2GO services such as general cargoes, cold chains, bulk liquids, and heavy lift cargoes.

With this, 2GO SCVASI said it aims to bring a greater variety of goods to the Philippine market.

Opening up a selection of diverse products will help boost the production of local industries, the company said.

“By offering a wide range of options and leveraging our extensive network, 2GO’s SCVASI is well-positioned to meet the increasing demands of the market and contribute to the country's economic development,” said Lim.

The launch of the custom brokerage services, he said, marks a significant milestone in the company’s commitment to improving logistics solutions in the Philippines.

“The launch of SCVASI’s full-service custom brokerage solutions comes at a crucial time for the Philippine economy. As the country continues to recover and grow, efficient logistics and supply chain management are essential for supporting various industries,” he added.

The official noted that the company’s licensed brokers have developed strong relationships with local customs, regulating agencies, and related authorities, which is vital in ensuring the smooth movement of goods.

2GO SCVASI specializes in ISO tank and cold chain solutions, as well as the transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous liquids such as chemicals, food products, solvents, oils, resins, and alcoholic beverages.

These services play a vital role in preserving the quality of perishable goods, including food products and pharmaceuticals.
