Tricycle driver nabbed for shabu, gun possession in Taguig
A tricycle driver was arrested by the police after he yielded shabu and a firearm in a buy-bust operation in Taguig on Feb. 21.
The Taguig Police conducted the drug bust in Barangay Central Signal, Taguig City that led to the arrest of a suspect identified as alias Rommel, 47, a resident of Barangay Lower Bicutan.
During the operation, the police confiscated three plastic sachets containing shabu weighing 50.87 grams valued at P345,916, a genuine P500 used as buy-bust money, and two pieces of P1,000 boodle money.

In addition, the police also recovered a 9mm revolver with four live rounds of ammunition.
The police will file a complaint against the suspect with the Taguig City Prosecutor’s Office for violations of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act), and Republic Act 7166 (law on synchronized national and local elections).
