According to her, having modern facilities is crucial for students’ education as it ensures access to quality education.

"Isa sa mga susi sa dekalidad na edukasyon ay ang pagkakaroon ng matatag, epektibo, at modernong mga pasilidad na siguradong magagamit at mapapakinabangan ng ating mga estudyante (One of the keys to quality education is the creation of strong, effective, and modern facilities that students will surely benefit from)," Discaya said.

She added that this initiative is part of her vision of Pasig City to become a 'smart city' which has advanced smart hospitals, smart schools, and smart facilities.

Inclusive Scholarship Program

One of her proposals under the city's education sector is the lowering of the grade requirement for college scholarships to 75 percent so that even students with just passing marks may continue their high learning and follow their dreams.

She added that she believes that scholarships should also be available to students who wish to study but lack the financial means or do not meet the current grade requirements set by the city’s scholarship program.

"Pababain sana ito upang lahat ng estudyante ay makapag-aral at magkaroon ng equal opportunity. Hindi kailangang maging hadlang ang grado upang matupad ang kanilang mga pangarap (I will propose the lowering of the grade requirement for scholarship grants so that all aspiring scholars will have equal opportunities. Grades should not be a hindrance for students to not be able to reach their dreams)," Discaya stressed.
