LEGAZPI CITY, Albay – The Police Regional Office-5 filed murder charges on Friday, Feb. 21, against the suspect in the killing of a lady doctor in Naga City last Feb.16.
PRO-5 director Police Brig. Gen. Andre P. Dizon confirmed to the Manila Bulletin that the case was filed before the city prosecutor’s office against suspect Raymart Martinez, 34, a resident of Barangay Concepcion Pequeña in Naga City.

Martinez was reportedly the boyfriend of slain Dr. Rajean Monnette Romualdez.
“Initially, crime of passion 'yung tinitingnan natin na motibo. May relasyon ang dalawa pero hindi kasal. Mag live-in partner sila,” Dizon said.
The suspect is in the custody of the National Bureau of Investigation-Naga City while his case is under pre-evaluation.
NBI Agent Joey Ajero disclosed that Martinez voluntarily surrendered following a series of negotiations with the family and the suspect.
Ajero said that Martinez went into hiding in Cebu City for his safety days after the incident.
