ABP partylist ranks 14th in survey, promotes emergency response in Metro Manila

Ang Bumbero ng Pilipinas (ABP) Party ranked 14th in the latest Tangere Pre-Election Preferential Survey for 2025, aiming to strengthen the emergency responses in Metro Manila following the recent massive fires.
With 1.68 percent support from 2,400 mobile-based respondents, this marks a significant step in the party’s mission to improve safety and emergency services, particularly in high-risk areas like Metro Manila.
Led by First Nominee Jose Antonio "Ka Pep" Goitia, ABP Party List represents firefighters, fire volunteers, and rescuers nationwide.
One of their core priorities is to enhance emergency response capabilities in Metro Manila’s barangays, especially those located in high-risk areas prone to fire and other disasters.
“Tuloy ang laban para sa mas ligtas, mas handa at mas protektadong Pilipinas (We aim to equip local barangays with the necessary training and resources to ensure they are ready to respond quickly and effectively during emergencies),” said Goitia.
ABP Party List’s vision includes improving the emergency response system through comprehensive training programs that focus on fire safety, rescue operations, and disaster preparedness.
Goitia emphasized the importance of providing these resources to barangays in high-risk zones, where the proximity of homes, businesses, and infrastructure can escalate the danger in case of emergencies.
The ABP Party List also plans to provide barangays with the necessary tools, such as fire extinguishers, basic firefighting equipment, and other emergency response kits, to ensure they can act swiftly in critical situations.
This proactive approach aims to bridge the gap between national emergency services and local communities, making every barangay a vital player in the safety and protection of their residents.
ABP’s initiative is especially relevant in Metro Manila, where crowded neighborhoods and the high number of informal settlers pose significant challenges in fire prevention and disaster management.
With an improved emergency response system at the grassroots level, Goitia believes that the risks associated with urban disasters can be significantly reduced.
By investing in local training and resources, ABP Party List hopes to create a more resilient Metro Manila, ensuring that every barangay, especially those most vulnerable, is equipped to handle emergencies effectively.
This initiative reflects their commitment to building a safer and more prepared environment for all residents, regardless of their location in the city.
