'Salvage' victim found at SLEX in Batangas

SANTO TOMAS CITY, Batangas -- A suspected "salvage" or summary execution victim was found at South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) Toll Road 4 in Barangay San Bartolome here on Saturday, Feb. 22.

The body was discovered at 12:45 a.m. by patrolling Barangay Public Safety Office.

The victim was sprawled on the pavement with blood oozing from the head and his arms and feet were tied by a nylon rope.

He was wearing jersey with Akro print and black shorts.

Police here are conducting follow-up investigation and urged people with missing relatives to get in touch with them and identify the body.
