“Ako sa totoo lang, no offense kahit kanino, I don't wanna be called as a politician. Kapag sinabing politician ka, nasa isip nila ‘kurap’ (When people hear 'politician,' they immediately think 'corrupt')... I prefer to be called a public servant.”

During the press conference in Pasig City, Revillame was joined by Galing sa Puso (GP) party-list nominee JP Padiernos.

Revillame said this is now the right time for him to run so he can extend his help beyond the studio, saying that in his 27 years of hosting television shows, he heard and learned about people's needs.

He mentioned that joining past campaigns felt like training, as it allowed him to see and hear them firsthand.

He added that he is deeply committed to serving the people, as he believes he has already been blessed abundantly by God.

“27 years na akong nakikinig sa kanila [Filipinos], nakikiramdam kung anong dapat gawin, and I think this is the right time for me para magawa ko na yung gusto kong pagtulong sa lahat. Not just inside the studio, hindi lang pagbibigay ng jacket, pagbibigay ng cellphone, P10,000, P20,000. Ito mas kailangan na ng mas malawak na pagtulong sa ating mga kababayan (I've been listening to them [Filipinos] for 27 years, understanding what needs to be done, and I think this is the right time for me to finally help everyone the way I want to. Not just inside the studio—not just by giving away jackets, cellphones, or P10,000, P20,000. This time, people need a broader and more meaningful kind of help),” he said.

“27 years akong nakikinig sa mahihirap eh. Alam ko yung damdamin nila at galing din ako sa ganoong buhay (I've been listening to the poor for 27 years. I understand their struggles because I came from that kind of life, too),” he added.

He is running as an independent candidate and stated that he is only affiliated with Filipinos in need of assistance.

"Affiliated ako sa mga Pilipinong nangangailangan ng tulong ko. Wala akong partido. Ang mga kasama ko ay mga kababayan natin, sila ang partido ko. And I will listen to them. Ang gusto ko talaga marinig ko talaga ang bawat sasabihin ng mga kababayan natin. Nahahawakan ko sila, nayayakap (I am affiliated with Filipinos who need my help. I have no political party—my party is the people, and I will listen to them. What I truly want is to hear every concern they have, to hold their hands, and to embrace them),” he said.

"Gusto kong makasama ko yung mga kababayan natin at madinig ko lahat ng kanilang hinanaing sa buhay. Once na pagpalain ng Diyos, makukuha ako sa senado, may boses na sila sa senado (I want to be with our fellow Filipinos and hear all their struggles in life. If God blesses me with a seat in the Senate, they will finally have a voice there),” he added.

He also said that when people claim he knows nothing, they are right.

“Sabi nga raw nila wala akong alam. Tama naman sila lahat, wala akong alam na mang-api ng kapwa ko. Wala akong alam na magnakaw. Ang alam ko lang ay makagawa ng kabutihan sa mga nangangailangan nating kababayan (They say I don't know anything, and they're absolutely right—I don't know how to oppress others. I don't know how to steal. The only thing I know is how to do good for our fellow Filipinos in need),” he said.

Revillame said he supports the GP Party-list because their concept, "Galing sa Puso," aligns with his own, "Puso para sa Bayan," bringing them together with a shared goal of helping Filipinos in education, livelihood, and health.

He said they are running because they have been blessed in life and now want to give back.

The TV host also shared that they do not make strategies or plans on how they will campaign, as he believes that it should be genuine and come from the heart.

“Wala kaming strategy eh. Hindi kami nag-iisip ng ‘ganito gagawin mo’, wala. Dapat from the heart ang pagtulong (We have no strategy. We don’t plan things like, ‘This is what we should do.’ No—it should come from the heart),” he stated.

Revillame acknowledged that serving the people is challenging but deeply fulfilling when done right, especially for those who need help the most.
