Sextortionist falls in Tarlac City


CAMP Gen. Francisco Macabulos, Tarlac City, Tarlac – A 34-year-old man was arrested for alleged sextortion in an entrapment operation here on Wednesday, Feb. 19.

Investigation said the suspect was in a dating relationship with the victim. 

The victim received messages from a dummy account created by the suspect with the name Prince Walker threatening to post their sensual encounters online. 

The suspect demanded money from the victim to stop him from spreading the videos. The victim paid a total of P250,000.

Despite payment, the suspect continued to demand more money from the victim, prompting her to report the sextortion to the police. 

Police conducted an entrapment operation and arrested the suspect.

Police Col. Miguel Guzman, Tarlac police chief, commended operating units for arresting the suspect who faces robbery-extortion and cybercrime cases.

Meanwhile, eight wanted persons were arrested in Nueva Ecija on Thursday, Feb. 20.

"We remain committed in apprehending all wanted individuals in Nueva Ecija and urge the public to support our efforts in bringing those with pending cases to justice," Police Col. Ferdinand Germino, Nueva Ecija police chief,  said.
