
A fire struck the office of the Philippine National Police's (PNP) Forensic Group at Camp Crame in Quezon City on Thursday afternoon, Feb. 20.
PNP spokesperson Col. Randulf Tuano said the blaze started at the firearms or ballistic testing area of the said office around 5:30 p.m.
“This is adjacent to the explosive laboratory of the forensic group office,” he told reporters in an interview on Friday, Feb. 21.
Personnel from the PNP Headquarters Support Service (HSS) Fire Unit immediately responded along with the San Juan City Fire Rescue, Quezon City Fire District, and volunteers from Barangay Greenhills.
Tuano said the fire was extinguished after 23 minutes.
No one was hurt in the incident.
Tuano said the cause of fire and the estimated damage to properties were still under investigation.
