BACOLOD CITY - More than 30,000 people attended the two-day campaign rally of the Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas senatorial slate in Negros Island on Feb. 20 and 21.

The rallies, which were held in Negros Occidental and Negros Oriental, had 8,000 people filling the Victorias City Coliseum on Friday and 25,000 at the Gov. Mariano F. Perdices Memorial Coliseum in Dumaguete City on Feb. 20.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. led the rallies in the two provinces, alongside senatorial candidates former Interior and Local Government Secretary Benjamin Abalos Jr., Makati Mayor Abigail Binay, Sen. Pia Cayetano, former Sen. Panfilo Lacson, Lito Lapid, Imee Marcos, Ramon Revilla Jr., and Francis Tolentino, as well as former Sen. Manny Pacquiao, ex-Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III, ACT-CIS party-list Rep. Erwin Tulfo, and Las Piñas City Rep. Camille Villar.
The candidates presented their platforms particulary for the newly formed Negros Island Region (NIR).
Reelectionist Imee met sugar farmers in Barangay Mansilingan here and led the distribution of the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations in La Carlota City, Negros Occidental, where her brother, President Marcos, visited the Kanlaon evacuees on Friday.
Revilla and his wife, Rep. Lani Mercado-Revilla, held a motorcade through Bacolod City, Talisay, and Silay in Negros Occidental, making stops at major public markets, including the Libertad, Bacolod Central, and Burgos markets.
Revilla, running for reelection, thanked the people of Negros Occidental and pledged to continue serving with sincerity and dedication.
Some senatorial aspirants held a press briefing at Nature’s Village Resort in Talisay Citybefore the rally in Victorias City on Friday.
Villar backed the sugar industry, committing to continue her mother’s efforts to support sugar farmers and stakeholders.
Tolentino highlighted the importance of the Jeepney Modernization Program, noting growing support from transport groups and investors.
Lacson, in a press briefing, acknowledge the campaign’s focus on giving their best efforts and working hard toward their goals.
During their Negros Oriental leg, the slate expressed optimism that they will secure votes in the province and win.
