Teenage girl found dead in vacant lot in Pangasinan

BAYAMBANG, Pangasinan â€“ A 16-year-old girl was found dead in a vacant lot here on Tuesday.

Initial investigation said the victim left their house without informing her parents. She allegedly went to a drinking session with three men in Barangay Sangkulis.

She failed to return home and her body was found in a lot in Barangay Bical Sur.

The victim sustained a head injury. Barangay officials suspect that the victim was hit with a blunt object which was found nearby that caused her death.

Her parents have urged justice for their daughter.

The municipal government vowed to extend the necessary assistance to enable the victim and her family to get justice.

An autopsy will be conducted on the victim to determine if she was raped and the real cause of death.

Follow-up investigation is ongoing. Police reminded the people to always be careful in going out with people.

Police have taken in the three men for questioning to determine their involvement. The suspects face appropriate charges.
