Revival King Jojo Mendrez was surprised when his friend, actor Mark Herras, presented him with flowers during a media conference in Quezon City.

Jojo held a press conference after signing with Star Music. However, the event was overshadowed by the appearance of Mark, who had been rumored to be involved romantically with the singer. Jojo denied having any romantic relationship with the actor.

"No comment. Pasensya na. 'Yan nga 'yung pinagdadaanan ko ngayon eh. 'Yung video na lumabas na 'yan, napaka-malicious. Kaya nga sabi ng management huwag ko na sagutin, kasi kahit sabihin ko na hindi, sasabihin ng tao ay oo. Kung sasabihin ko naman ay oo, sasabihin naman ng tao ay hindi. So saan ako lalagay? (No comment. Sorry. That's what I'm going through right now. That video that came out was very malicious. That's why management told me not to answer, because even if I say no, people will say yes. If I say yes, people will say no. So where do I put it?)," said Jojo, according to a report by ABS-CBN.

Jojo added: "Kasi nga ang tao madaling mag-judge kung ano ang nakita nila 'yun na 'yun. I cannot explain to everyone na ito 'yung totoo. Siguro kung makita niyo siya (Herras), pwede niyo siyang tanungin. (Because people easily judge what they see. I cannot explain to everyone that this is the truth. Maybe if you see him (Herras), you can ask him.)

After the press conference, Jojo performed his latest track. To everyone's surprise, Mark rushed toward Jojo, kissed him on the cheek, and presented him with a bouquet of flowers.

Stunned and taken aback, the press immediately sought Jojo's reaction; however, the hosts announced that the singer had to excuse himself because he was not feeling well.

Earlier, Jojo slammed a malicious post that linked him to Mark.

A statement issued by Aqueous Entertainment, the talent agency that handles the singer, said Mark and Jojo are good friends.

The complete statement reads: "The post showing photos of our artist Jojo Mendrez and Mr. Mark Herras together is purely malicious content. Jojo and Mark are good friends—nothing more, nothing less."

Jojo's talent agency mentioned that Jojo and Mark were out enjoying some time together with a group of friends during that outing.

The post read: "Actor Mark Herras spotted with a rich businessman. The person seen with Herras seemed to be the uprising singer who is now trending on social media. The two spotted together in a hotel-casino at around 11:30 pm last Feb 5, both seemed so happy together."

"Purely friendly meet up lang yun at marami silang magkakasama nun. Gumawa kasi si mark ng video reaction para sa kanta ni Jojo na 'Somewhere in my Past,' " a representative from the talent management added.

Jojo has just released the remake of the popular song "Somewhere in my Past," originally done by the late teen star Julie Vega.
