Camille Villar says she's pro-Philippines 'of course'; apologizes to vlogger

DUMAGUETE CITY, Negros Oriental--Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas senatorial candidate Camille Villar has said that she is pro-Philippines and will always prioritize her fellow Filipinos.
Villar, who represents Las Piñas City's lone district in Congress, made this clarification in a press conference here Thursday, Feb. 20.
"Of course, pro-Philippines. Always Philippines first, always Filipinos first," she proudly said.
Earlier, Villar was bashed on social media after she allegedly failed to respond to a vlogger who asked her if she was pro-Philippines or pro-China.
An apologetic Villar admitted that she totally missed the question.
"Sorry po, alam niyo ngayon ko nga po nalaman na may ganun pala. Hindi ko po siya narinig, so hindi ko na nga po maalala," said the House deputy speaker and proud millennial.
(I'm sorry, it's only now that I've been made aware of it. I didn't hear it, and so I can't remember it.)
"So sorry doon sa--I think I was saying 'Thank you' dun sa mga nagbibigay ng suporta, hindi ko po narinig yung vlogger, hindi ko po narinig yung tanong niya," she said.
(I'm sorry to the--I think I was saying 'Thank you' to my supporters, I didn't hear the vlogger, I didn't hear the question.)
"Pero (But) I Ithink the answer to that question is obvious," Villar said.
