In a remarkable celebration of achievement and innovation, Alliance Global Group Inc. (AGI) has been awarded as one of Manila Bulletin's 2025 Newsmakers of the Year.

Alliance Global Group, Inc. (AGI) stands out as a shining example of corporate excellence in a time when companies are evaluated not only on their financial performance, but also on their long-term goals and social effects. Receiving the esteemed Manila Bulletin Newsmakers of the Year Award 2025, AGI has proven itself to be one of the leading conglomerates in the country. With a diverse portfolio that includes quick-service restaurants, casinos, food and beverage, and real estate, AGI has made a name for itself in the Philippines’ economic community.

The company’s vision and objectives prioritize diversity, environmental sustainability, and corporate social responsibility, in addition to its financial impact, by investing in cutting-edge sectors like digital technology, renewable energy, and innovation-driven business models to keep ahead of the curve.

This commitment is especially evident in the efforts of its subsidiary, Megaworld Corporation, which has made remarkable progress in developing self-sufficient communities through its township initiatives. They have completed 35 townships in 2024. The corporation also developed the nation's largest hotel complex, which has over 1,500 rooms. Green areas, renewable energy sources, and carbon footprint-reducing infrastructure are all incorporated into these developments’ sustainable design. AGI is dedicated to ensuring its expansion, to improve the environment, the people it serves, and the economy. Their outstanding achievements in the past year solidify their place as one of the 2025 Newsmakers of the Year.

Upon accepting the award, AGI President and CEO Kevin Tan honored Manila Bulletin for the recognition. “I would like to dedicate this award to the board of  50,000 men and women of the Alliance Global Group, comprised of Megaworld Corp., Emperador, New Port World Resorts, and McDonalds Philippines. These men and women worked tirelessly every day to uplift lives, impact society, and help shape this great nation of ours,” he stated.
