BYD Shark 6 DMO now available for reservation

First batch officially on Philippine Soil

The innovative Dual Mode technology of BYD that enables vehicles like the BYD Seal 5 DM-i and Sealion 6 DM-i to achieve remarkable range from just one tank of fuel is now making its way into a pickup truck.

BYD Cars Philippines, a subsidiary of ACMobility, and distributor of BYD vehicles and services, have announced the arrival of the BYD Shark 6 DMO. This electrified pickup truck is designed for adventure-seekers and is poised to make its official launch in March. 

The Shark 6 DMO showcases BYD’s groundbreaking DMO (Dual Mode Off-road) technology designed to deliver class-leading power, performance, and cost-savings.  It will have advanced features that may revolutionize the pickup truck market.

BYD’s Dual Mode optimizes the use of both the engine and electric motor to extend the vehicle's range and maximize efficiency. It can operate the ICE engine to propel the vehicle and charge the onboard battery. Both the ICE and electric motor can work in tandem to produce more power. In EV Mode, the vehicle operates solely on electric power, delivering a quiet driving experience free of emissions. The onboard battery can also be charged by plugging into a wall socket, further extending the vehicle’s driving range. 

Besides its high-tech powertrain, the Shark 6 also boasts of distinctive rugged design and a muscular frame. It presents itself with an aggressive stance and a commanding presence on the road. Its blend of advanced technology and off-road capabilities add even more value to customers that demand capability and utility from their vehicles.

The Shark 6 DMO joins BYD’s growing lineup of electric mobility solutions, including the recently launched BYD Seal 5 DM-i sedan and the BYD Sealion 6 DM-i SUV.
