ZAMBOANGA CITY – The city government has purchased 10 new dump trucks to improve garbage collection efforts here.
MAYOR John Dalipe, with Rep. Mannix Dalipe and city councilors, receive 10 garbage trucks from Isuzu Philippines to improve waste collection and disposal in Zamboanga City.
Mayor John Dalipe, representing the Office of the City Environment and Natural Resources, received 10 Forward FV Smoother Isuzu trucks from supplier Isuzu Philippines at the City Hall grounds on Tuesday.
They represent the first batch of trucks procured by the local government with another 35 expected to arrive during the second quarter of the year.
They were deployed to the OCENR to augment the fleet used for garbage collection. The next batch will be distributed to different barangays.
They are expected to significantly improve the efficiency and capacity of the waste collection and management system, ensuring cleaner and more sustainable urban spaces for residents.
