Mayor Abby sees strong NCR support for Alyansa candidates

Makati City Mayor and senatorial aspirant Abby Binay on Tuesday, Feb. 18, is confident that her party, the administration's Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas, will perform strongly in Metro Manila in the midterm elections in May.
Binay, in a press conference, said that the party consists of leaders and officials throughout the national government with proven competence and track record.
"The Alyansa is a really good complement. Merong galing sa executive, merong galing sa legistative. May kanya-kanyang experiences that somehow contributed to Metro Manila (Alyansa is a really good complement. There are members who came from the executive and legislative. Each has their own experiences that somehow contributed to Metro Manila)," the mayor explained.
The slate also includes former Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Sec. Benhur Abalos, Sen. Pia Cayetano, former Sen. Ping Lacson, Sen. Lito Lapid, Sen. Imee Marcos, former Sen. Manny Pacquiao, Sen. Bong Revilla, former Senate Pres. Tito Sotto, Senate Majority Leader Francis Tolentino, Rep. Erwin Tulfo, and House Deputy Speaker Camille Villar.

These include free maintenance medicine, free hospitalization, free unlimited chemotherapy and dialysis. In education, Makati provides tablets and other digital learning tools, and free access to wi-fi aside from free uniforms, school shoes, sneakers, bags and supplies and other needs.
Binay had said that if she gets elected to the Senate, she will file legislation to provide free maintenance medicines, unlimited and free dialysis and chemotherapy, and upgrade preventive health care.
She will also work to improve school facilities, build more classrooms in rural areas, and provide access to digital learning tools.
