CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Police neutralized two suspected snatchers in Barangay Anunas, Angeles City, Pampanga on Tuesday afternoon, Feb.18.

The Angeles City Police Office received information that two suspicious individuals were roaming Korean Town, a hotspot for recent snatching incidents.
Police launched a surveillance operation and spotted the suspects on a black motorcycle without a license plate.
The suspects attempted to evade police and the back rider fired at pursuing lawmen but his firearm jammed.
Police shot the suspects and neutralized the driver and wounded the back rider identified as Alex, a resident of Magalang, Pampanga. The driver’s identity is still being verified.
Recovered from the crime scene were a US Colt .45 caliber pistol with a partially defaced serial number, a magazine with six bullets, a chamber-loaded live round, and a fired bullet.
Police Regional Office-3 chief Police Brig. Gen. Jean S. Fajardo commended the swift and tactical response of the Angeles City police.
Lawmen are conducting follow-up investigation.
