Filipino cinephiles, the 2025 EE BAFTA Film Awards is now available for streaming in the Philippines on Lionsgate Play. BAFTA Film Awards offers audiences around the world an unmissable night of entertainment, celebrating the year’s best films and the creative talent who bring them to life. 

What to expect at 2025 EE BAFTA Film Awards

The 2025 EE BAFTA Film Awards are bursting with cinematic brilliance and talent. Edward Berger’s gripping drama Conclave leads with 12 nominations, closely trailed by Jacques Audiard’s musical mob spectacle Emilia Pérez with 11 nods, and Brady Corbet’s sweeping epic The Brutalist earning 9.  

For Conclave, this is a pivotal year. A papal drama led by the formidable Ralph Fiennes, the film has captured the imagination of critics, securing nominations for Best Film and Best Director, among others. Meanwhile, The Brutalist charms with its evocative storytelling, led by a captivating performance from Adrien Brody.  

The BAFTA’s lifetime achievement award, the BAFTA Fellowship, will be awarded to legendary actor, comedian, presenter, and producer Warwick Davis—a nod to his extraordinary contributions to the film industry. Warwick Davis is celebrated for his roles in several of the world’s most successful and enduring film franchises.  

An unmissable night of world-class performances

Award-winning actor David Tennant returns to host the ceremony for the second year in a row, bringing his charisma and humour to the evening. Adding to the excitement, the legendary British music icons Take That will take the stage, performing their number one single ‘Greatest Day’, which features in the BAFTA-nominated film Anora. Known for their electrifying live shows and timeless appeal, Take That will bring their signature energy and charisma to the ceremony, creating a highlight of the evening. 

Additionally, the legendary Jeff Goldblum will bring his unique touch to the stage, performing on the piano during the In Memoriam. Goldblum’s soulful style will provide a moving and personal tribute. Earlier this year, Jeff Goldblum delighted audiences as The Wizard of Oz in the BAFTA-nominated film Wicked, which smashed records for the biggest ever box office for a Broadway musical adaptation.
