Taylor Swift crowned Global Recording Artist of the Year 2024; Seventeen, Stray Kids in top 10
Taylor Swift was named Global Recording Artist of the Year 2024 by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), which represents the recorded music industry globally.
K-pop acts Seventeen and Stray Kids landed in the top 10 while ENHYPEN made it to the top 20 list.
This is Swift’s fifth time–and third consecutive year–to win the award. She won the award in 2014, 2019, 2022 and 2023.
She also topped IFPI’s Global Album Chart, Global Vinyl Album Chart, Global Streaming Album Chart and Global Album Sales Chart, owing to the success of her studio album “The Tortured Poets Department” that came out last year.
Seventeen grabbed third place while Stray Kids placed fifth. ENHYPEN landed at No. 14.

“We are immensely proud to award the IFPI Global Recording Artist of the Year Award to Taylor Swift for the fifth time, as she continues to redefine the limits of global success.“This has been a huge year for Taylor, and it has been incredible to see the extent to which fans all over the world are connecting with her superb catalogue of music,” said Victoria Oakley, IFPI CEO.
The Global Recording Artist of the Year Award was based on an artist or group’s worldwide sales across, streaming, download and physical music formats during the calendar year and covers their entire body of work, the IFPI stated.
