P30-M illegal drugs seized in Cordillera

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Police seized illegal drugs valued at over P30 million and arrested 10 drug pushers in the Cordillera region from Feb. 10 to 16.

The Police Regional Office-Cordillera conducted 48 anti-illegal drug operations where 74,365 fully grown marijuana plants, 80 kilos of dried marijuana leaves and fruiting tops, 46 kilos grams of dried marijuana stalks, and 28.54 grams of suspected shabu were recovered.

Ten drug pushers were caught – four high-value individuals and six street-level individuals.

The Benguet Police Provincial Office seized illegal drugs valued at P15.2 million and arrested one HVI and one SLI; Kalinga, marijuana plants valued at P14.8 million; Abra, shabu worth P50,320 and two SLIs, Baguio City Police Office, illegal drugs valued at P22,788 and  three HVIs and one SLI; Apayao, one SLI and illegal drugs worth P2,040, and Ifugao, one SLI and P1,156 worth of shabu.
