Woman killed in motorcycle crash in Cebu

CEBU CITY – A 29-year-old woman died and her two companions were injured when the motorcycle they were riding collided with a truck in Barangay Catarman, Liloan town, northern Cebu at dawn on Monday, Feb. 17.

Police identified the fatality as Christine Abarollo Tindoy, a resident of Barangay Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City.

Injured were Farah May Alvaro Bataluna, 29, of Barangay Sabang, Danao City, and a 10-year-old girl from Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City.

Police said the three victims were headed south aboard a Honda Click driven by Tindoy.

Police said Tindoy allegedly lost control of the motorcycle and swerved to the opposite lane and collided with the oncoming truck.

They were taken to the Eversley Child Sanitarium and General Hospital in Mandaue where Tindoy was declared dead.
