CAMP OLIVAS, San Fernando City, Pampanga – The Police Regional Office-3 recovered 260 loose firearms under the intensified Revitalized Katok campaign from Jan. 10 to Feb. 15.

Police Regional Office-3 Director Police Brig. Gen. Jean S. Fajardo said the program strengthens the region’s efforts to curb illegal firearms and prevent potential election-related violence.
Fajardo underscored the critical role of responsible gun ownership, especially during the election period, and called on firearm holders with expired licenses to voluntarily deposit their firearms at the nearest police station.
"We remind all gun owners to renew their firearm licenses or surrender their firearms for safekeeping. This is not just about compliance. It is about protecting lives and ensuring a peaceful electoral process," Fajardo said.
Fajardo said the Revitalized Katok initiative reaffirms PRO-3’s commitment to peace and order through proactive policing and community collaboration.
“With the elections fast approaching, PRO-3 assures the public that all surrendered firearms are properly documented and secured while also assisting firearm holders in complying with regulations.”
Police are actively reaching and asking firearms holders in Central Luzon to surrender loose and unrenewed guns.
