BUTUAN CITY – Police apprehended 16 wanted persons during a Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operation here over the weekend.

Police Regional Office 13-Regional Public Information Office chief Police Major Jennifer S. Ometer said two were most wanted persons – Mae, 32, and Ange, 31.
Mae is the eighth MWP and wanted for a qualified theft case with no recommended bail.
Ange, the second MWP, faces a case for violating Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 with no bail recommended.
Butuan police chief Police Col. Rommel D. Villamor commended operating units for their achievements.
“These achievements testify to the BCPO police and the com,” Villamor said. “We continue to urge all Butuanons to provide information about the whereabouts of wanted individuals so that they can be arrested and thus bring justice to the victims of these suspects.”
Meanwhile, a 44-year-old drug pusher was arrested and suspected shabu valued at P1.7 million was seized in a buy-bust operation here on Saturday, Feb. 15.
Recovered from the suspect was 250 grams of shabu, the buy-bust money, and personal belongings.
PRO-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Christopher N. Abrahano commended the operating units for the arrest of the suspect, a high-value individual, who faces charges for violating RA 9165.
