PDEA: Over P47 M worth of shabu seized in Bulacan buy-bust

Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) seized around P47.6 million worth of shabu following the arrest of five drug suspects during a buy-bust operation in Malolos City, Bulacan.

The suspects, with aliases Joyce, Caloy, Carl, Christy and Russ, all of Malolos City, were caught at around 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 15 in Barangay Tikay where seven kilos of shabu were confiscated.

Aside from the shabu concealed in seven brown-gold foil packs with Chinese characters labeled "Freeso-dried Durien," the operatives also seized cellular phones, buy-bust money and several identification cards (ID).

The operation was conducted by the PDEA Regional Office National Capital Region, PDEA Bulacan Provincial Office, National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA) and Provincial Intelligence Unit Bulacan Police Provincial Office.
