Man shot dead inside his rented home in Caloocan

A 33-year-old man was shot and killed inside his rented house in Caloocan City, on Monday, Feb 17.

Based on the police report, the incident occurred around 2 a.m., in Barangay 178.

The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds on the head and body which caused his death.

Police said the victim was drinking liquor with his partner when someone knocked on the door and called his name. Moments later, gunshots were fired.

A closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage showed four suspects fleeing the alley on a motorcycle.

Two of them were wearing hats, one had a helmet, and the other concealed his face with a hood.

Authorities are still investigating the possible motive behind the killing. 

It was also discovered that the victim had only been renting the place for a few months.

Police recovered two bullet casings from the crime scene.
