
Members of the Las Piñas City Police arrested three persons wanted for illegal drug cases during a two-day operation from Feb. 15 to 16.
Las Piñas City Police chief Col. Sandrol Tafalla identified the suspects as alias “Jo,” 20; alias “Pepe,” 59; and alias “Donna,” 54. They were the subjects of arrest warrants for violation of Republic Act 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002
Tafalla said members of the Warrant and Subpoena Section and the Station Intelligence Section conducted the operations against the fugitives.
He said Jo, tagged as Top 4 wanted person, was nabbed at around 10:00 a.m. in Barangay Almanza Dos on Feb. 15 based on the order of Judge Anne Beatrice Aguana Balmaceda of Las Piñas Regional Trial Court Branch 200 issued on Jan. 7 for the service of sentence.
The city police chief said the two high-profile fugitives, Pepe and Donna, were arrested on Feb. 16. based on the warrant issued by Judge Josefina Eco Siscar on Nov. 28, 2024 also for the service of their jail terms.
Last to fall in the police operations was Donna who was collared at 12:30 a.m. in Barangay Manuyo Dos by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Balmaceda on Jan. 17.
The city police chief said the arrested suspects were brought to Las Piñas City Police custodial facility for further legal proceedings.
