ILOILO CITY – The Iloilo police confiscated illegal drugs worth more than P13.1 million in the first 45 days of this year.
The Iloilo Police Provincial Office said that 1,933.48 grams of shabu were seized from 61 suspected drug pushers from Jan. 1 to Feb. 15, 2025.

One of the biggest hauls was made by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit in Estancia town on Feb. 12. A female drug pusher was arrested with more than P2 million worth of shabu.
The anti-drug campaign remains a top priority of IPPO chief Police Col. Bayani Razalan.
A total of 96 wanted persons, including 15 most wanted persons (MWPs), were nabbed.
Fourteen illegal firearms were confiscated from 14 individuals. Another 52 illegal firearms were voluntarily surrendered.
In the campaign against illegal fishing with the Bantay Dagat, 101 people were arrested in 37 operations. Fifty-four fishing boats were impounded.
In the campaign against illegal quarrying, the IPPO arrested 29 people and impounded 29 trucks.
Razalan lauded operating units for their achievements. “These achievements reflect the relentless efforts of our men and women in uniform, as well as the invaluable support of the Ilonggo community,” said Razalan.
