An obstetrician-gynecologist was found dead with a bullet wound in the head inside a car in Naga City on Sunday, Feb. 16.

The victim was identified as 36-year-old Dr. Rajean Monette Romualdez of the Bicol Medical Center in Naga City.
A bystander found the victim’s body and reported the discovery to the police.
Initial investigation said Romualdez, who had been working at the BMC for five years and a graduate of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila College of Medicine, was last seen entering the car with a man. Her body was found on the passenger seat.
Naga City Mayor Nelson Legacion has ordered a thorough investigation of her death.
"I have directed our authorities to conduct thorough investigation. SOCO is assisting to uncover the facts in this incident," Legacion said in a Facebook post.
"The personnel of Station 2 of the Naga City Police Office, along with our EMTs from the CDRRMO, responded to the scene," the mayor added.
The city government has offered a P200,000 reward for the arrest of the suspect.
“We call on anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist in the investigation. Rest assured that any information shared will be treated with utmost confidentiality. You may provide details through any police station or directly to my office,” Legacion said.
Legacion condoled with the family of the victim. “Let us work together to bring justice to Dr. Romualdez and her family. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Dr. Romualdez. We share in your grief and stand with you in this time of sorrow.”
Police did not find a gun in the crime scene. Follow-up investigation is underway.
