A couple reportedly died in a road crash involving multiple vehicles, including a police mobile, amid the heavy downpour in Antipolo, Rizal on Monday afternoon, Feb. 17.

According to Antipolo City Mayor Jun Ynares, the accident happened on Marcos Highway in front of a soft drink warehouse in Barangay Inarawan.
First responders said the couple, who were both 25 years old, died on-the-spot.
Antipolo Component City Police Station Investigation and Operations chief Capt. Alnor Tagara said the police officer driving the police mobile lost control of the vehicle due to the slippery road and hit the couple on a motorcycle.
The motorcycle then flung backwards and hit a jeepney which was following it.
Tagara said the officer was conducting a routine patrol when the accident happened.
