The grassroots leaders, according to reelectionist Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go, will help the political party advance their goal of winning the May 2025 senatorial election.

“Their presence made one thing clear: the real campaign is with the people,” Go said during the event held at the Fortune Mansion Seafoods restaurant in Malate, Manila.

The gathering was led by Barangay 670 Chairwoman Bai Aleya Bidua and Sultana Bhae Izashy Amor Mastura of the Royal House of Maharlika.

Go, one of the senatorial candidates of the PDP-Laban slate, said he is confident that the pulse of the people, not political machinery, will determine the outcome of the elections.

He also urged supporters to amplify the campaign at the community level.

“Mga kapitan ng barangay—kayo ang tunay na lakas ng kampanya. Hindi tayo umaasa sa ingay—tao ang puhunan natin (Our village captains—you are the strength of our campaign. We are not relying on noise—people are our prized investment),” he said.

Aside from Go, other senatorial candidates of PDP-Laban include Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa, actor Philip Salvador, SAGIP Party-list Rep. Rodante Marcoleta, singer/lawyer Jimmy Bondoc, lawyer Raul Lambino, lawyer Jesus “Jayvee” Hinlo, Vic Rodriguez, and detained Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) leader Apollo Quiboloy.
