MULANAY, Quezon – A 56-year-old farmer died after his face was slammed on the pavement multiple times by his neighbor for his unruly attitude in a birth anniversary party in Barangay Patabog here on Saturday, Feb. 15.

Police identified the victim as Miguel Hermita.
Investigation said the victim and the suspect, Angel, 52, were having a drinking spree in a birth anniversary party when Hermita became rowdy.
The suspect accompanied the victim to his house but while on their way, Angel got irked due to the victim’s attitude and slammed his face on the pavement several times. He died on the spot.
Angel left the victim sprawled on the pavement and was found by two men who informed the police.
The suspect surrendered and he faces a murder complaint.
Meanwhile, a laborer was stabbed to death by two co-workers during a drinking session in Barangay San Miguel, City of Santo Tomas, Batangas on Saturday.
Police identified the victim as Oliver.
Investigation said Oliver and the suspects Rannie and Reymar were having a drinking spree when a heated argument erupted.
One of the suspects drew a bladed weapon, prompting the victim to flee but he was chased and stabbed by the suspects.
The suspects escaped with the murder weapon and the victim was declared dead in a hospital from multiple stab wounds.
A manhunt is underway against the suspects who face homicide cases.
