Japanese boy band One or Eight collaborates with Felip, Thuy for ‘Kawasaki’ remix

Japanese boy band One or Eight unveiled the third and final remix of their track “Kawasaki” featuring Filipino singer Felip and Vietnamese-American R&B sensation Thuy.

The new remix features hard-hitting trap beats that underscore Felip's signature deep vocals and cool rap delivery, with thủy's sultry voice flowing through her original songwriting, while staying true to the original track's approach.

“We’re incredibly grateful to have Felip and thủy on this remix. I think we all brought our unique flavors and styles, blending them in a way that uncovered a whole new dimension of ‘Kawasaki,’” said One or Eight.

Felip (aka Ken of SB19) said, "I'm excited to remix this amazing track. It's an honor to collaborate with talented artists like One or Eight and Thủy, and I love that this showcases artists from all over the world. I enjoy making music that I love, and I hope that fans and listeners will enjoy it too."

The contrast between Felip’s deep, resonant tone and my sharp, piercing sound created an exciting synergy, adding so much depth to the track.

“Working on this remix with One or Eight was a natural choice for me because I love their style and music. Writing my verse was really fun! The production was totally different from anything I’ve done before, and I was excited to explore something new,” said Thuy.

The original performance video for "Kawasaki" surpassed 10 million views on YouTube in just under a week.

Following its debut, the track has continued to break new records with a series of remixes featuring six-time Grammy-nominated rapper Big Sean on "Kawasaki(with Big Sean)," and pH-1, a leader in the Korean hip-hop scene with "Kawasaki (with pH-1).”
