Barangay tanod stabbed to death by father and son

SINAIT, Ilocos Sur – A chief barangay tanod or watchman was stabbed to death by a father and his son in Barangay Barikir here on Friday, Feb. 14.

Police identified the victim as Angelito Ibuos, 54, and the suspects as Junadick Ibus, 44, and his father, Juan. 

Investigation said Junadick was playing cards with the victim and placing bets when an altercation between them erupted. 

The misunderstanding was pacified but Junadick retrieved a fan knife from his motorcycle and stabbed Angelito. Junadick’s father also stabbed the victim.

The victim sustained three stab wounds in the body and was declared dead in a hospital.

Junadick and Juan surrendered to the police. The suspects are facing a murder case.
