LUCENA CITY, Quezon – Three women were arrested for using falsified documents to obtain financial assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development-Quezon based in this city on Friday afternoon, Feb. 14.

Police identified the suspects as Teresa, 51, of Candelaria, Quezon; Sabina of Sariaya, Quezon, and Nimfa, 50, of Sariaya.
Investigation said the suspects went to the DSWD to secure financial aid.
Social workers interviewed and verified their applications and documents and discovered that their papers were fake. The DSWD sought assistance from the police who arrested the suspects.
The suspects are detained at the Lucena City Police Station and face appropriate charges.
