CALAMBA CITY, Laguna – Three foreigners were arrested on Feb. 14 for operating a suspected Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO) hub here.

Police identified the suspects as Weng, Lou, and Yuan.
The suspects were apprehended by the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Regional Office 4-A, Laguna Police Provincial Office, and Calamba City police in coordination with the Bureau of Immigration (BI), Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC)-Cyber Crime Unit, and Calamba City government.
The BI received information that Lou was operating a POGO hub.
Authorities conducted a raid through a BI mission order and arrested the suspects and rescued 23 Filipino employees.
Verification with the Calamba City Business Permit Licensing Office revealed that they had no business permit or legal papers to operate in this city.
The arrested foreigners are in the custody of the PAOCC. The Bureau of Immigration is conducting deportation proceedings against them.
