Vice President Sara Duterte has urged the public to value love as she joined the public in celebrating Valentine's Day on Friday, Feb. 14.

"Nawa’y bigyan natin ng halaga ang pagmamahalan, pagkakaisa, at patuloy na malasakit sa ating pamilya, mga kaibigan, at komunidad (Let us value love, unity, and continuous care for our family, friends, and community)," it said.
"Sa bawat hakbang na ating ginagawa, ipagpatuloy natin ang mas matibay na ugnayan upang magtagumpay tayo bilang isang bansa (With every step we take, let us continue to strengthen our bonds so that we may succeed as a nation)," it added.
This week, the Vice President spent time with her half-sister Veronica in Japan based on photos the latter uploaded to her social media accounts.
Based on videos uploaded by the younger Duterte, the sisters explored temples and other scenic locations in the Land of the Rising Sun.
