Valentine’s Day is an occasion when people get all mushy and romantic.
For House Speaker Martin Romualdez, it's a chance to express his appreciation over his special bond with his wife, Tingog Party-list Rep. Yedda Marie Romualdez, whom he described as his "greatest partner".
In a Facebook post on Friday, Feb. 14, Speaker Romualdez wrote on Facebook: "Love isn’t measured in words or grand gestures—it’s in the quiet moments, the shared struggles, and the choices we make every day to stand by each other."
Referring to Rep. Romualdez, the House leader further wrote: "Through the years, we’ve built more than a life together—we’ve built trust, understanding, and a bond that grows stronger with time."
