PRO 13-Regional Public Information Office chief Police Major Jennifer S. Ometer said they distributed tokens during a special gift-giving activity dubbed Alay ng Pulis sa Araw ng mga Puso in recognition of their contributions to keep the region moving.
The Surigao del Norte Police Provincial Office led by Police Col. Warren E. Dablo handed out bags of rice, flowers, chocolates, balloons, and fliers as tokens of appreciation with a message of kindness and community spirit in Surigao City, Surigao del Norte.
“One of the most touching moments of the event was the exchange of genuine smiles between the uniformed personnel and the public,” Ometer said. Police reinforced messages of safety, service, and love during their interaction, she added.
The initiative was also used as a platform for road safety awareness campaign, reminding motorists of the importance of responsible driving and adherence to traffic regulations.
This activity was a simple yet heartfelt gesture to show their appreciation for the hardworking people on the road, Dablo said.
“It’s a reminder that love, kindness, and public service go hand in hand – not just today, but every day. Happy Heart’s Day, everyone,” he added.
