'Love is Forever sa QC ': Over 288 couples tie the knot in QC

Over 288 couples tied the knot during the “Kasalang Bayan” sponsored by the Quezon City government on Thursday, Feb. 13, at M.I.C.E. Quezon City Hall complex.

Mayor Joy Belmonte officiated the mass wedding of couples from the District 2 and 5.

The city government also sponsored the reception and wedding gifts for the newlyweds.

“Alagaan ang isa’t - isa, mahalin at suportahan. Tandaan, ang inyong asawa ay inyong kakampi, hindi kalaban. Palaging magtulungan , magmahalan, at magsilbing sandalan ng isa’t-isa.,” Mayor Joy Belmonte said.

Former and current city officials served as witnesses at the event, including former House Speaker and Mayor Sonny Belmonte, District 2 Representative Ralph Tulfo, Councilors Candy Medina, Ally Medalla, Dave Valmocina, Mikey Belmont, Action Officer Atty. Bong Teodoro, and former councilor Atty. Bong Libyan.

Officials from District 5 also served as witnesses of the ceremony, including Councilors Joe Visaya, Alfred Vargas, Ram Medalla, Shay Liban, Aiko Melendez, Action Officer William Bawag, and Enzo Pineda.
