A testament to its impact and excellence, ‘Cayetano in Action with Boy Abunda’ (CIA with BA) has been recognized with two nominations at the 38th PMPC Star Awards for TV.

According to the official list of nominees released by the Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) earlier this month, CIA with BA is in the running for Best Public Affairs Program.

Meanwhile, its hosts — sibling senators Alan Peter and Pia Cayetano and Boy Abunda — are nominated for Best Public Affairs Program Hosts.

Following the announcement, the public service and talk program expressed deep gratitude for the recognition.

“Malaki po ang aming pasasalamat sa PMPC Star Awards for TV sa pagbibigay ng nominasyon sa amin,” ‘CIA with BA’ said in a statement.

“Ang parangal na ito ay hindi lang isang pagkilala, kundi isang motibasyon para sa amin upang lalo pang pagbutihin ang aming serbisyo at tulungan ang ating mga kababayan na nangangailangan ng legal na tulong at gabay sa kanilang mga problema.”

The winners will be announced at the 38th PMPC Star Awards for TV awarding ceremony, which will take place on March 23, 2025.

Meanwhile, in the continuation of its 'Hong Kong special' episode on Sunday, February 9, ‘CIA with BA’ featured the struggles and triumphs of women who sacrificed to give their families a better life.

Through heartfelt conversations, the episode highlighted the challenges Filipinas face working abroad and how they persevere for their loved ones back home.

‘CIA with BA’ continues the legacy of the late Senator Rene Cayetano and airs every Sunday at 11:00 p.m. on GMA7, with replays on GTV the following Saturday at 10:30 p.m.
