Drug peddler named 'Speed' runs out of luck in Rizal buy-bust, yields P884,000 shabu

A high-value individual (HVI) and drug peddler known as “Speed” was caught with P884,000 worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation in Angono, Rizal.

The Police Regional Office 4A said Speed was arrested during an entrapment operation conducted by the Drug Enforcement Team of the Angono Municipal Police Station in Barangay Bagumbayan on Wednesday, Feb. 12.

Authorities said the operation was based on a tip from a confidential informant who reported that the suspect was actively engaged in selling shabu in the area.

Seized from him were eight pieces of transparent plastic sachets weighing 130 grams, along with a sling bag and the buy-bust money.

The suspect is detained at the Angono MPS Custodial Facility and facing charges for violations of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
