NCRPO: Top female 'drug pusher' arrested in Caloocan City buy-bust
Police seized more than P5 million worth of shabu following the arrest of a suspected high-level female drug pusher and his cohort in a buy-bust operation in Caloocan City early Thursday morning, Feb. 13.
Police Brig. Gen. Anthony A. Aberin, director of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), said the operation conducted by his men stemmed from the confirmed intelligence report of the involvement of the suspect in illegal drugs distribution in Caloocan City and nearby areas.
After one of the NCRPO’s anti-narcotics agents was able to negotiate with the female suspect for the purchase of illegal drugs, the buy-bust was carried out at around 2:45 a.m. on Thursday in Barangay 28.
The 31-year old suspect, a resident of Pasay City, was collared after the transaction was completed, along with her companion.
Seized were 750 grams of shabu, with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of ₱5.1 million, along with ₱1,000 genuine buy-bust money, ₱64,000.00 boodle money, and ₱1 million recovered cash.
"This arrest pursuant to the relentless efforts of NCRPO in the fight against illegal drugs. We will continue to intensify our operations and ensure that these criminals, especially High-Value Individuals, are brought behind bars," said Aberin.
He commended the operatives for the aggressive operations to dismantle the illegal drug trade in Metro Manila.
The arrested suspects are currently under the custody of the Caloocan City Police Station, while appropriate complaints for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) are being prepared for referral to the Caloocan City Prosecutor’s Office.
Aberin said the confiscated illegal drugs will be turned over to the Northern Police District Forensic Unit for laboratory examination.
