After yielding in their last four encounters this season, the Sakers rallied immediately and took over from start to finish to exact their revenge and halted the Knights’ six–game winning streak.

Assem Marei took the spotlight as he put up another monstrous effort of 19 points and 21 rebounds – his sixth straight double-double performance since Jan. 30 for Changwon – with three assists and three steals while Tamayo notched 10 points along with five rebounds, four assists and a steal.

The two reinforcements were the only twin-digit scorers for the Sakers who improved to a 24-14 at third, tying the record of the second-place Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Phoebus.

An Young-Jun (17), Jameel Warney (16), and Kim Sun-Hyung (12) led the Knights’ attack, but it all went to waste as they absorbed their eighth defeat with 31 wins and were still at the top of the standings.

Despite Changwon hitting the gas early with a 19-6 bomb, Seoul fought back in the second frame and regained the lead, 31-30.

It was the Knights’ final stand as the Sakers built enough separation in the second half to leave Seoul behind.

Meanwhile, the Wonju DB Promy (16-21) and the Busan KCC Egis (15-23) aim to snap their respective losing skids and return in the winning column.
