TIAONG, Quezon – Police arrested 25-year-old student for illegal wildlife trading here on Monday afternoon, Feb. 10.

Lawmen planned a buy-bust operation after receiving information that the suspect was selling endangered wildlife, particularly iguana.
The suspect was arrested in a convenience store after he sold an iguana valued at P30,000 to a poseur-buyer.
The suspect faces a case for violating Republic Act 9147 or the Wildlife Resources Conservation and Protection Act.
The operation was conducted by the Quezon Maritime Police Station with the Tiaong Municipal Police Station.
