Figure skaters Gamez, Korovin finish fourth in Asian Winter Games

The duo wowed the crowd with their grace and chemistry by getting an accumulated score of 155.62, including 99.99 points in free skate behind bronze medalists Yuna Nagaoka and Sumitada Moriguchi of Japan, who tallied an accumulated score of 168.35.
Gamez and Korovin even took the provisional lead before the top three pairs from North Korea, Uzbekistan and Japan took the ice.
Uzbeks Ekaterina Geynish and Dmitry Chigirev claimed the gold medal with 176.43, while North Koreans Ryom Tae Ok and Han Kum Chol captured the silver with 168.88.
Meanwhile, Cathryn Limketkai and Sofia Frank advanced to the medal round after placing 10th and 11th in the women’s short skating program.
Limketkai scored 45.28 despite getting a one-point deduction, while Frank posted 43.55 to join 23 others in the free skating event.
The two PH bets are competing at press time.
Also currently battling it out in the men’s single free skating is Paolo Borromeo.
In freestyle skiing, Laetaz Amihan Rabe finished sixth with 119.50 points -- a far cry from eventual gold medalist Liu Mengting, who tallied 175.50.
It was actually a 1-2-3 finish for the powerhouse Chinese crew with Han Linshan (162.75) and Yang Ruyi (159.50) bagging silver and bronze medals, respectively.
