'Kuya' yields P2.5-M shabu in Antipolo
Delivers drugs via popular motorcycle delivery service
A high-value individual (HVI) was arrested and P2,516,000 worth of illegal drugs was confiscated during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Mambugan, Antipolo City, Rizal.
The Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) identified the suspect as "Kuya," 52. He was arrested during the operation conducted by the City Drug Enforcement Team of the Antipolo Component City Police Station, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Monday, Feb. 10.
Seized from "Kuya" were 11 sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 370 grams.
In addition, authorities discovered that the confiscated illegal drugs came from a certain “Omar” from Manila, who allegedly used to deliver illegal drugs by booking a well-known delivery service. The police, however, did not disclose the name of the delivery service.
The suspect is now detained at the Antipolo Custodial Facility and is facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
